Corfu Airport (CFU)

The airport of Corfu or (CFU) is located in the Town's vicinity, only 3 km away to be more specific.
It is also known as Ioannis Kapodistrias, named after the first governor of the modern Greek state who was born and raised on the island.
It receives domestic flights from Athens International Airport as well as from the International Airport of Thessaloniki.
Concerning international flights, numerous are scheduled in summer to serve the thousands of visitors. The airport was established in 1937, but of course, many modifications have been made ever since.

Corfu International Airport receives flights from mainland Greece as well as abroad.
Concerning domestic flights, planes to Corfu take off from the International Airports of Athens and Thessaloniki. The airlines serving the route are Ryanair, Aegean Airlines/Olympic Air and Sky Express. A flight from Athens or Thessaloniki lasts around an hour.
Moreover, direct flights depart from several cities from abroad including the UK, Italy and Germany among others.
